Best Western Hotel Puerto Miranda
Proyectos, Construcciones y Mantenimiento
R&M S.A.
Maracaibo, Venezuela
January 2011 – April 2013
When the design guidelines were established by the Arquitectural team, it was evident that the intent was to pay tribute to the "Modern Spirit" movement, which was becoming more prevalent throughout various Venezuelan citites. Through the images, the use of a mixed-nature complex can be appreciated, displaying a main building with commercial areas, an apartment tower, cabins, marina, lighthouse, pool area, beach and more.
La Calle Restaurant
Maracaibo, Venezuela
December 2012 – April 2013
I developed the design concept for restaurant La Calle, as an "Urban Square", to offer customers a pleasant place that evokes an abstract, colorful, fresh, healthy, and cheerful urban environment.
I completed an urban ambiance by combining a broad range of materials and textures such as wood pallets, ropes, sheets of zinc, cyclone fences, vinyls, and traffic signals.
This concept shows columns with capitals that play the role of the trees in the streets. The food stations pay tribute to the farmer’s markets across the country, where every customer must follow the circuit to create their plate. Finally, the customers arrive at a large "tree", the place where everyone wants to be, and are able to cook all of their chosen ingredients on a large grill.

Interior Design Certificate
Universidad del Zulia (LUZ)
Maracaibo, Venezuela
April 2011 - April 2012
This was my final project for the Interior Design Certificate and it consisted of the renovation of a three-bedroom family apartment of three adults and a teenager.
The interior design concept for this renovation is based on "Space Vitality", which increases the use of common area through the furniture placement, space planning, and area distribution.

Thesis: Ecological Interpretation Center for Lake Maracaibo
Honors with Distinction
Universidad Rafael Urdaneta (URU)
Maracaibo, Venezuela
July 2011
This Special Graduation Research Project was completed as a requirement to obtain my Bachelor degree in Architecture. The design was an Ecological Interpretation Center for Lake Maracaibo, intended for its preservation as a natural and cultural heritage of the State of Zulia. The projects had various educational areas, such as training of environmental awareness among the inhabitants, visitors of the city of Maracaibo, history, indigenous tribes, and wildlife and flora.
The images showed how the supporting structural system of cargo containers helped define the structure of the building. The use of recycled materials (e.g., cargo containers) was conducted due to the competitive prices, ease in availability, assembly, and production by using standardized container sizes.
The set had four modules configured for different types of containers. Each of these modules housed the different areas of the Centre, such as the reception/administration, service, commercial, and exhibition area. Each module was linked and interconnected to a large central garden, which created a continuous composition and fluid spaces.
